Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how A2Z Edit (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use a2zedit.com and related pages. We designed the product so most tools can run in your browser without uploading your files.

1. Summary

  • Image, PDF, OCR, and QR tools: processing is intended to happen in your browser. Your files are not stored on our servers for those tools when they run fully client-side.
  • Temporary file share & link redirects: when you choose these features, files or redirect metadata are stored so the link can work, then deleted when you forget them or they expire.
  • No account required for normal tool use.

2. Files you process in tools

Browser-based tools

Features such as background removal, resize/convert/compress/watermark, PDF merge/split/edit (where implemented client-side), OCR, and QR generation are designed to process data locally in your device’s browser memory. Closing the tab typically discards that working data.

Temporary file shares

If you upload a file to create a temporary share link, the file and metadata (name, size, expiry, optional custom path) are stored so others can download via your link. Shares are capped (currently about 4.5 MB) for reliability. Objects are removed when the link expires, when you use “Forget” in My Links, or when an admin deletes them.

Link redirects

Redirect links store the destination URL, wait settings, and related metadata until expiry or deletion — not your personal documents.

Civil ID PDF Maker

This tool may contact an external helper service to complete PDF generation. Avoid uploading sensitive ID images unless you understand and accept that flow.

Ask PDF (optional AI)

If AI keys are configured, questions and extracted PDF text may be sent to a third-party model provider to generate answers. Do not submit confidential documents to Ask PDF unless you accept that processing.

3. Cookies, local storage & similar tech

We use limited browser storage and scripts for the site to function:

  • Essential / functional: preferences and “My Links” identifiers stored in your browser (for example localStorage) so links you created on this device can be listed.
  • Service worker: may cache static assets (logo, offline page, manifest) for reliability. It uses a network-first approach for navigations and does not silently upload your documents.
  • Analytics / visit telemetry: we use Google Analytics (gtag.js, measurement ID in site config) and may also record high-level visit data (page URL, screen size, language, timezone, referrer, user agent) to understand traffic. This is not used to sell personal profiles. Google may process data under its own terms when the tag loads.
  • Hosting / CDN: our host (for example Vercel) and storage providers may set technical cookies or logs required to deliver the site securely.

We do not use advertising trackers to build cross-site marketing profiles. You can clear site data in your browser settings at any time.

4. Information we may collect

  • Technical logs (IP address, timestamps, request paths) from hosting.
  • Optional messages you send via Contact or email (waleedsheeraz06@gmail.com).
  • Share/redirect metadata you create intentionally.

5. How we use information

  • Operate and secure the website and link features.
  • Improve performance, reliability, and documentation.
  • Respond to support requests you initiate.
  • Comply with law when required.

6. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may use processors such as cloud hosting and object storage (for example Backblaze B2 for shares) solely to provide the service. Providers process data under their terms and our configuration.

7. Retention

  • Browser tool sessions: not retained on our servers by design.
  • Shares & redirects: until expiry, forget/delete, or admin removal.
  • Support emails: retained as long as needed to resolve your request.
  • Server logs: kept for a limited operational period.

8. Security

We use HTTPS and industry-typical hosting controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Prefer browser-local tools for highly sensitive files, and avoid sharing secrets via temporary links.

9. Children

The service is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). Do not use the site to upload children’s personal data.

10. Your choices

  • Use tools without creating an account.
  • Clear cookies and site storage in your browser.
  • Delete shares from My Links when available.

11. International users

The site may be hosted in regions different from yours. By using A2Z Edit, you understand that information related to shares, logs, or support may be processed where our providers operate.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised policy.
