Image to Text — Arabic
Extract Arabic text from photos and scans.
About this tool
Arabic OCR for photos in this browser. The English page is the wrong engine for Arabic newspapers, forms, and signs.
Square the page, avoid calligraphy, keep diacritics in view if you care about them. Mixed Latin + Arabic cards belong on the bilingual image page.
Paste into an RTL-aware editor if letters reorder. Proofread Eastern vs Latin digits. Processing stays in the tab.
This page only runs Arabic OCR on images in your browser. An English OCR page will misread Arabic newspapers, forms, and signs. For mixed Latin + Arabic on the same photo (many ID cards), use Image to Text — English + Arabic.
Square the page in the camera and keep contrast high. Paste into an editor with right-to-left direction if characters look reordered. Check whether numerals are Eastern Arabic or Latin digits.
Printed pages work; handwriting and calligraphy usually do not. PDFs belong on PDF to Text — Arabic.
