A2Z Edit is built and operated by Waleed Sheeraz. It is an independent web product — not a venture-backed suite, not a white-label farm of cloned converters, and not a company with a “content team.” I live with the tools, the guides, and the support inbox.

Free online image, PDF, OCR, QR, and link tools — private & browser-based The site is a2zedit.com and currently includes 97 free tools plus a guides section for the questions people actually ask (formats, OCR language, redaction, metadata). There is no login. Open a page and start.

Why this exists

Make everyday image, PDF, OCR, QR, and link tasks free, fast, and as private as possible — right in the browser.

I got tired of “free” utilities that interrupt a two-minute crop with a signup wall, a watermark, or a silent upload to a server in another country. Most of the jobs on this site — resize, merge PDFs, convert JPG to PNG, English or Arabic OCR — can run with APIs the browser already has. So that is the default: process in the tab, download the result, leave.

What you can do here

Which tools upload files?

• Most tools (image, PDF, OCR, QR, file utilities) are designed to run in your browser.
• Temporary file shares upload through the share API so others can download your link (about 4.5 MB cap).
• Link redirects store destination metadata, not your documents.
• Ask PDF may send text to an AI provider when that feature is configured.

How the writing is done

Tool pages explain the job on that URL. Guides cover decisions: JPG vs PNG, when to redact instead of covering text, why Arabic OCR is a different page. I do not generate hundreds of near-duplicate articles to chase keywords. Featured how-tos are the ones I would hand a relative who asked “is this safe?” or “which format do I pick?” Thin converter pairs stay available for users but remain noindex so the catalog does not look like a doorway mill.
