Best image format for photos

Camera originals may be HEIC or huge PNG exports; recipients usually want JPG.
Convert HEIC to JPG and compress on A2Z Edit before you attach or upload.

- Remove location metadata if you are posting publicly.

- For print labs, ask which format they prefer.
- WebP is excellent on websites but weaker for stubborn email clients.
- Build a PDF only when the workflow demands a document.
Camera, then destination
Phones often save HEIC. Convert to JPG for people and portals; keep HEIC as the archive if you still want the smaller original. For a website you control, export WebP (with JPG fallback if you support old browsers).
Do not use PNG as a photo archive — files balloon. Do not use ICO or AVIF as the file you email a stranger.
