How to merge PDF files

Merging PDFs is useful when invoices, scans, or chapters sit in separate files and you need one tidy document.

Merging concatenates pages. It does not redesign layouts, and it is a poor substitute for “make this look like one professionally typeset report.” Use it to bind scans, chapters, and attachments into a single upload.
How to merge PDF files
- Open the Merge PDF tool on A2Z Edit.
- Upload two or more PDF files from your device.
- Drag the files into the order you want in the final document.
- Start the merge and wait for the combined PDF to finish.
- Download the result and confirm every page is in place.
Why it matters
One file is easier to email, upload to forms, and archive than a folder of partial PDFs.
Tips
- Put cover pages and summaries first so readers land on the right content.
- If the merged file is huge, compress it afterward before sending.

Order, covers, and forms

Simple page content survives. Interactive form fields and some annotations can flatten or behave oddly. If the packet is a fillable government form, test the merged file before you submit. Encrypted PDFs need to be unlocked first.
When the result is too large
Email gateways often cap attachments around 10–25 MB. A merge of phone scans can blow past that even if each piece looked small. Compress the merged PDF, or split the packet and upload parts if the portal allows it.
If you only needed two pages from a 40-page scan, extract those pages instead of merging entire binders.
