How to Convert PNG to JPG
Updated 2026-08-25
PNG is great for graphics with sharp edges or transparency. For everyday photos, JPG is usually smaller and accepted almost everywhere.
Converting flattens transparency onto an opaque background, so export a copy when you still need the transparent master.
Do this on A2Z Edit
Open the PNG to JPG Converter and follow the steps below.
Open PNG to JPG ConverterHow to Convert PNG to JPG
- Open the PNG to JPG converter.
- Upload a .png file.
- Convert to JPG on this dedicated page.
- Download the JPEG result.
Why it matters
Email and older systems still prefer JPEG for photographs.
File size often drops compared with a photographic PNG.
Tips
- Keep a PNG master if the image has transparency you still need.
- If the JPG is still large, run Compress Image next.
Frequently asked questions
